Home Vision Therapy
There's more to good vision than just 20/20. Your eyes may be able to maintain clarity, but comfortable vision may be sacrificed. Not only do the eyes have to focus accurately, but they also have to sustain precise alignment. This is known as eye coordination.
Poorly functioning eyes may cause:
Headaches Eyestrain while reading Eyes feeling tired after computer use or reading Poor reading comprehension Declining grades in children Loss of interest in school or reading
A child or adult that experiences any of these symptoms may be suffering from an eye muscle problem. Often relief can be found in performing eye exercises to strengthen the muscle and improve visual accuracy. These exercises must isolate specific muscles to be effective.
At Total Vision we offer our patients a cost-effective, home-based therapy solution called HTS (Home Therapy System).
HTS is a program that is loaded on the patient's home computer. It comes with simple instructions and excellent technical support included.
It uses a fun animated eyeball to instruct the patient on how to use the program and how to perform the exercises.
The data from the patient's performance is then either uploaded onto the internet or taken into our office. The doctor can then review the progress and modify the program to suit the patients needs.
The patient follows their progress toward set goals. Each time a goal is achieved, the patient is rewarded with a star.
